P. BRANDON PERKINS

 

P. BRANDON PERKINS, a native of Naples, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a Vice President of the Moot Court Board. While there, Brandon was selected to represent the School of Law at the George Washington University National Security Law Competition in Washington D.C., and the NACDL Trial Advocacy Competition in Santa Fe, N.M.  Brandon served as an Academic Achievement Program Dean's Fellow, was a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review Editorial Board, and was named to the Dean’s List each and every semester.  Brandon graduated 7th out of 328 students and earned Order of the Coif distinction. 


After graduation, Brandon served as law clerk to Florida Supreme Court Justice Raul Cantero and was an assistant public defender in Hillsborough County, Florida. While at the Public Defender’s office, Brandon represented indigent defendants in the appellate courts, filing Petitions for Writ of Habeas Corpus in the Second District Court of Appeal and in the 20th Judicial Circuit.  Following his tenure at the Public Defender’s Office, Brandon joined the prestigious firm of Covington & Burling in New York, where he focused primarily in the area of pharmaceutical litigation.


Since his return to Florida, Brandon has accepted appointments as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney ad Litem for foster children in the 20th Judicial Circuit.  Brandon and his family live in Fort Myers, Florida..
